Love Shack Fancy Blues

I want to start out by saying that with what is going on in other parts of the world and the current political climate in the US right now, I realize this doesn’t even show up on the radar as far as problems go. I also realize it is definitely a first world problem. That being said, it is still quite annoying and gave a sour start to my day today.

How it began:
I had totally missed out on the first LoveShackFancy x Stanley drop and had been hoping to get one of the new cups that were going on sale today. Because of bots and resellers, that wasn’t meant to be, unfortunately. I had cups in my cart a number of times and was in the queue to check out, only to have the items go out of stock while I was still waiting. Stanley should set it up like ticket sites do and have items in your cart be reserved for a certain amount of time once you add them.
They also could do preorders for a limited time like Owala does for some of their color drops,
They also need to have measures in place to prevent the use of bots. Heck, they could use the system they’ve used for other limited drops where people register in advance and they have a lottery to see who gets a cup. Anything would be better than how they did this one.

It’s also annoying that resellers charge a ridiculous amount for these cups (and similar in demand items.) I totally get charging a bit extra for their time and trouble and to cover shipping and site fees. Charging $200 or $300 though? That’s ludicrous. It’s also maddening that there are people that will pay that.

Latest update:
I just saw Stanley’s response to all the problems people had with this drop today. It sounded very dismissive and like they aren’t going to do anything to make it right for people. I do hope they improve future launches but I’m not holding my breath. It also seems unlikely that they will restock these which is annoying too.

Here are the two larger Stanley cups I do have. (I also have a 20oz pink one from the summer color collection.) The red cup is from the recent collaboration with ELF cosmetics. I got the matching lip oil for that one but was only able to get the lip oil holder in the honey color. The straw toppers are from Amazon.com. I was trying to get something close to the bow straw covers on the Love Shack Fancy cups. It’s not exact, but I still like how it looks.
